First place winner for coming up with the best Big match Title "BATTLE OF THE CROWNS" This student from Grade 6 was chosen for first place as he reasoned out why the above title was suggested, explaining further this youngster pointed out there are two CROWNS depicted on both the schools crest.

Dear Distinguished Careyites We are now pleased to inform that our School administration under the new leadership of Rev. Heshan De Silva and OBU have successfully finalised a BIG MATCH titled as “Battle of the Crowns” with Christ King College, Tudella, Ja-Ela, which has a student population similar to our school. As mentioned in a previous post the Big match details as follows: The 2 Day Big Match would be played on the 2nd & 3rd of May 2025 at P Saravnmuttu Stadium, Colombo. The Limited over (1 Day Match) will be played on the 10th of May 2025 at De Zoysa stadium, Moratuwa. Technicalities, logistics and financial compositions were discussed and details have been agreed upon based on an MOU that would be ratified and signed by both parties at a ceremonial media launch at a venue which would be communicated to all of you in due course. We would highly appreciate if one volunteer could come forward from your respective batches to be in the organising committee for the Big Match. The overall requirements will need to be discussed including coordinating with the overseas Careyites. Kindly contact us or share the following details as follows 1. Batch Year 2.
